I have LOADS to talk about. Actually, it’s just one thing, but I wanna talk about it a lot. Its- Twilight. I got a new favourite book along with Harry Potter!! It’s written by Stephanie Meyers, and totally rocks! I’ve been reading it for the past three nights, ever since I got copy online from a friend, and I love it. As much as I love Harry Potter. It’s basically a tale of a romance between a girl called Isabella (Bella) Swan and Edward Cullen (eeeeee!!! I LOVE him!!! He’s totallyy swoon worthy, the way Meyers has described him), a vampire. Edward… hmm… can’t even begin to describe him… he’s the ideal guy- um, vampire. He’s MUCH better than ANY perfect fictional guy, including Jesse DeSilva (ghost) from mediator, Angelus (another rocking vamp from Buffy), Spike (again, vamp from Buffy) , Michael Moscovitz from Princess Diaries (sadly human) or even the charming Mr. Darcy (sadly again, human) from Pride and Prejudice – Jane Austen (another must read, if you haven’t read it yet). Well, reading Twilight, getting absorbed in it as I once got in Harry Potter, (and never expected to get again, specially this soon), was awesome, and I was almost crying when I finished it right now. Thankfully, two more books have already come out, and I’m going to buy BOTH as soon as I get the chance. Seriously.. if this was the end, I would have DIED! Anyway, back to Edward, he’s so awesome! And the way Meyers has described the gradual strangers-to-friends-to- something more’ incline of the Bella-Edward ship just had me absorbed in the book! And, of course, a perfect, swoon worthy, awesome looking, lead with a perfect character DOES have a very major role in my loving the book. And, any book I read with a male character, I keep thinking, “He’s okay, but he’s not Edward” . And I found an online community for Edward (TRUST me, there are many… around 2000) with an apt title, “I have trouble dealing with the fact that Edward Cullen is just fictional.” Me too, pal, me too.
{September 5, 2008} TWILIGHT!!!!!
