Today was an interesting day. And, interesting does NOT necessarily mean good, although certain parts of the day were. It started out as a pretty boring day, and I was waiting for the last class of school to get over so I could take part in this Essay competition. Problem? You bet. It’s MY life, so there’s gotta be a problem. The last class was Art. Here, I must tell you that I was, am and will forever be an artistic disaster/artistically challenged/whatever. Usually Art classes are terrible, and this one was worse than terrible. It all began with some people at school insulting my pigeon. Omg this sounds so funny now! I was drawing this pigeon, and I’d totally messed it up (as usual). The guys at school were laughing, and I was half laughing too. Playfully, I dipped my brush in red paint and waved it threateningly over everyone. BIG mistake. The paint splashed on no one but ME. My uniform had large spots of red paint, but they weren’t really bad. Then I made another gigantic mistake. I tried to wash it out, thinking it was watercolor and would come out easily (what the hell do they put in water colors these days?!). It spread to what was left white on my uniform. Now, I was red and wet. I would have laughed it off on any other day, bu I had the competition. I got some unexpected help and encouragement to go on with the competition from a girl in my class, Dhivya, who I never really talked to earlier. I was really embarrassed and hid my uniform every second. But I did the competition well. I got home, rang the doorbell, and yelled “Surprise!” sarcastically pointing at my uniform. Mom almost fainted. Then the reprimanding began. It didn’t last for a long time thankfully. (sigh) People are going to laugh about this for sometime. Although I admit it seems really funny now. I wish I could see my expression when I noticed the paint! I was mortified then, but now I can understand why everyone found it so hilarious! Anyway, the weather’s great and it’s just stopped raining. It’s really weird.. rain at this time of the year. This is supposed to be summer, but, I’m not complaining! Okay it’s 840 now and I’m gonna go read a good book and then go to bed, waiting for tomorrow and wondering what weird stuff is gonna happen!
{July 28, 2008} An interesting day
